The Tsingtao Augerta recently won a gold medal at the Best Spring Lager Competition of the World Beer Championships, another international top prize of Tsingtao after its Stout won the WBC in November 2018 and its Pilsner won the European Beer Star.
The Augerta beer features golden color, rich wheat aroma, mellow and energetic taste, delicate cream-like foam, a long finish and lingering fragrance, according to the WBC judges.
The WBC allows the brewers to add creativity into the beer, as it believes the consumers care more about flavors and quality than fixed styles. With a German origin, Tsingtao has been adding Chinese styles into the beer over the past century to generate products welcomed by international consumers.
